To see life in color is to live fully. The interplay of colors creates complexity, vibrancy, and stimulation. Colors transform my emotional state and also allow me to project myself without words.
I recall visiting economically disadvantaged parts of the world. Some felt lighter than others. Tropical flowers and colorful fabrics masked the heaviness. My eyes focused on what there was, bursting tones, instead of what was missing. The experience was opposite when I stood in front of gray residential blocks, cement soccer fields, and rusty parked cars. I felt sad and desperately searched for colors.
