My unusual journey that started in Bosnia and Herzegovina and brought me to my current home in Italy, with various stops in between, invoked a deep sense of curiosity about human conditions world-wide. I developed appreciation for different ways of living and the ability to disintegrate cultural and linguistic barriers in order to intimately bond with my subjects. In my world there is no “other” as all humans are deserving of dignity-absent of hierarchy, simply for being human.
My career frequently takes me to locations with deeply-rooted socio-economic and social struggles leading to suffering on large scale. However, I am not blinded by these catastrophes. I appreciateI the raw reality of life, the fleeting beauty of those in-between moments, and I do my very best to take every picture with that in mind. These images are what bonds us in a profound way with humanity. Sometimes, when magical moments happen, time just stops.
